JUNIOR OILERS COMPLETE SERIES OF DEADLINE MOVES

The Tulsa Junior Oilers have completed several trade deadline moves.

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Junior Oilers, proud member of the NA3HL and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Thursday the completion of several trade deadline moves.

Anderson Weimer has been dealt to the Norwich Sea Captains in exchange for one 2025 tender.

“Anderson is a top notch goaltender,” said Interim Head Coach Chi-Yin Tse.  “I hope that he finds great success in Norwich. He is very talented and it was hard to let him go, but I wanted to see him succeed as a number one in this league. We wish him the best and good luck as they push for the playoffs.”

Tanner Conant has been traded to the New Jersey Titans in exchange for one 2025 tender.

“We wish Tanner the best in his future endeavors,” said Tse. “We both felt that a change in scenery could do wonders for him as he continues to work his way through his junior hockey career.”

Tulsa received a third-round 2025 draft pick via Mason City from the Texas Brahmas in exchange for future considerations.

Austin Tyler has been traded to the Helena Bighorns in exchange for 6-foot-8 defenseman Sam Williamson

“I’m sad to see Austin go,” said Tse. “He was my first acquisition as GM. I was happy to be able to bring him back to Tulsa so he could play in front of his family and friends this season. He did not disappoint and I know he’ll be a great fit in Helena. We wish him the best and good luck as they seek back-to-back Fraser Cup Championships.”

Williamson, 18, has appeared in 11 games for the Bighorns, registering two assists.

“Sam has been a class act since we made the trade,” said Tse. “I know that his presence on the ice will be something we have not had yet. We are eager to bring him in to get him started this weekend during our last homestand and believe he will be a huge asset for us in the future.”

Evan Scholl has been acquired from the New Mexico Ice Wolves in exchange for one 2025 tender, and the third-round pick that was acquired from the Brahmas.

“We’ve seen a lot of Evan this season and I can’t say enough about his game,” said Tse. “I really like his physicality and ability to get up ice quickly. His size and speed will certainly be an asset to our team as we finish out the season.”

Scholl, 18, has appeared in 26 games for the Ice Wolves, registering five goals and two assists. Prior to New Mexico, the 6-foot-5 defenseman spent last season with the Seattle Jr. Kraken 18U AAA, recording five goals and seven assists in 27 games played.

Rounding out the busy deadline day, Tulsa has acquired Camden Prier from the Lone Star Brahmas of the NAHL in exchange for future considerations.

“This was a no-brainer for us,” said Tse. “Prier brings a jolt of offense to our team. We are excited about the opportunity to have him here in Tulsa and eager to see him in our lineup.”

Prier, 18, has appeared in 36 games for the Brahmas, registering five goals and seven assists.

The Jr. Oilers are back in action for their home finale home on Friday, Feb. 7 against the Louisiana Drillers. Puck drop from the WeStreet Ice Center is set for 7 p.m.
