Kevin dessart, head coach

Kevin Dessart came to the Oilers in late December 2025 from the University of Vermont, where he was the Associate Head Coach of the women’s hockey team. Prior to joining UVM, he was the Head Coach of Lawrence University Women’s team from 2022-2024. In his two seasons at Lawrence, he guided the program to their first ever win and recorded the most wins in program history. Before joining Lawrence, Dessart, spent three seasons as the head Coach of the University of Colorado’s Women’s team. In three years under Dessart’s guidance, the Buffaloes won back-to-back Western Women’s Collegiate Hockey League championships, earning berths in the American Collegiate Hockey Association National Championships.

A native of East Rockaway, N.Y., Dessart has been coaching hockey since 2001. Dessart led the Colorado Springs Amateur Hockey Association U19 team from 2001 before moving to the University of Colorado in 2019.

Dessart has spent a lifetime in the game. He grew up playing the game in New York and was a collegiate player at St. John’s (N.Y.) University. Dessart earned a bachelor’s degree in athleticadministration/business administration from St. John’s in 1990.

Following his time at St. John’s, Dessart spent 11 years working in the National Hockey League starting as a media relations assistant with the New York Islanders in 1989. Dessart worked as the assistant to the general manager of the Florida Panthers before serving as director of public relations for the New Jersey Devils. In addition, Dessart is also a coach developer for USA Hockey as well as a coach for the USA Hockey Girls National 16/17 camp.

chi-yin tse, general manager

Chi-Yin Tse was named the General Manager of the Tulsa Oilers in conjunction with his role as the Director of Hockey Operations for the Tulsa Ice Centers, LLC. Tse also was named head coach for the 2025 – 2026 season. He brings in knowledge of the role from his time in Minnesota, where he held the GM position of the Minnesota Whitecaps, a team in the former professional women’s hockey league, the Premier Hockey Federation.

Bobby long, director of hockey operations

Bobby Long joins us with more than 35 years of experience working in the hockey industry, his latest role being the Director of Hockey Operations for the Minnesota Whitecaps and Buffalo Beauts of the former professional women’s hockey league, the Premier Hockey Federation. He currently oversees a number of the hockey operation tasks for the Oilers and assists with player scouting operations. In addition to his hockey operations and scouting duties with the Oilers, Bobby also serves as the Director of Pro-shop and Merchandise for the Tulsa Ice Centers.

Jon yourkin, regional scout

With 25 years of coaching and player development experience—including NCAA Division I experience at the University of Denver—Jon Yourkin brings a sharp eye and modern approach to scouting. He combines video, analytics, and live evaluation to assess skill, hockey IQ, culture fit and compete level, always looking for players who elevate both the roster on and off the ice.

Known for his honest, player-first communication style, Jon builds strong relationships with athletes and families navigating the junior hockey path. He currently serves as a Director of Hockey Operations and a head skills & development coach for high school and AAA teams in Colorado.

Jordan Norris, Gameday and Ticket Operations Coordinator

Jordan plays a key role in the success of our organization, serving as the driving force behind both our game day operations and fan engagement. From interviewing players to ensuring our season ticket holders enjoy the best experience in junior hockey, she wears many hats. Jordan leads our community partnerships and outreach efforts, helping us build strong connections throughout the Tulsa area. Whether coordinating sponsor activations or creating memorable moments for fans, she brings energy and excellence to everything she does.

Brooke Niver, Marketing Coordinator

Brooke joins the Oilers as our Marketing Coordinator, bringing a competitive mindset from her time as a collegiate softball player at UCO. While at UCO, she discovered her passion for storytelling through sports journalism, social media content creation, and on-camera work. Now, she leads the charge on all things marketing—managing our social platforms, producing photo and video content, and capturing the moments that define our team.
