The Tulsa Junior Oilers have acquired Kolin Krizan from the Helena Bighorns

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Junior Oilers, proud member of the NA3HL and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Monday the acquisition of Kolin Krizan from the Helena Bighorns in exchange for one 2025 tender and one 2025 second-round draft pick.

“You looked at what Helena has done last year winning it,” said Desjardins. “That winning bug, even though it was last year, this year, they brought the guys back. They want that confidence. They want to go back-to-back which sort of rubs off on a guy who’s even there for a short term. Hopefully he brings that attitude here and wants to win, and wants to compete every day.”

Krizan, 19, has already appeared in two games this season, netting one goal. Last season, the 6-foot forward split time between the Colorado Rampage 18U AAA and Cheyenne Capitals.

In 33 games with the Rampage, Krizan netted one goal and five assists. For the Capitals, he appeared in 12 games, logging nine goals and eight assists for 17 points.

“He brings in a big body with some skill,” said head coach Zac Desjardins. “He’s played AAA, so he knows that higher level. He’s played in an organization that’s pretty good. He’s going to come in, work hard, and he wants to compete and he wants to win. That’s what we need.”

Game action begins on Friday, Sept. 20 against the Austin Ice Bats. Puck drop from Ice & Field at The Crossover in Cedar Park, Texas is set for 8 p.m. All games can be streamed on NATV.
