OILERS INK MONTANA MEDINA FOR ROOKIE CAMPAIGN
Forward Montana Medina signs with Tulsa Oilers for his rookie campaign.
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers Junior Hockey Club, proud member of the North American 3 Hockey League and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Wednesday the signing of forward Montana Medina for the 2025-26 season.
Medina, 19, spent last season with the Oakland Golden Bears 18U AA, making him the fourth Bears alum on the squad and third among the newcomers. The Turlock, California native joins his former teammates Charlie Scott, Noah Leriger and Johnny Arruda for the upcoming season.
“Montana has been on our radar for the past two seasons and was originally slated to join us last year,” Head Coach Chi-Yin Tse said. “Fortunately, he used that time to grow and fine-tune his game before committing to us this season. He brings vision and poise, whether he’s on the backend or upfront, and his team-first mentality will allow him to make an impact wherever he’s needed.”
In 31 games with the Bears last season, the 5-foot-8 forward recorded 12 goals and 15 assists, finishing second in points.
Medina joins Toby House, Jack Salverson, Evan Scholl, Henry Pinkerman, Kurtis Brachlow, Cassius Hook, Johnny Arruda, Noah Leriger, Charlie Scott, David Gifford and Stone Baulch as announced signings for the 2025-26 season. Stay tuned for more roster transactions as the offseason progresses.
The Oilers open up the season at home against the Austin Ice Bats on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. The weekend continues from the WeStreet Ice Center on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
