OILERS INK ROOKIE DUO FROM CALIFORNIA

Forward Johnny Arruda and defenseman Noah Leriger sign with Tulsa Oilers for the 2025-26 season

TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers Junior Hockey Club, proud member of the North American 3 Hockey League and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Monday the signing of forward Johnny Arruda and defenseman Noah Leriger for the 2025-26 season.

Arruda, 19, begins his junior career after spending last season with the Oakland Bears 18U AA squad. In 23 games with the bears, the 6-foot-3 forward logged 13 goals and 13 assists.

“We’re thrilled to bring Johnny to Tulsa this upcoming season after tendering him last year,” said Head Coach Chi-Yin Tse. “He adds a valuable combination of size and speed to our lineup, and we’re excited to see the impact he’ll make.”

Leriger, 18, begins his junior hockey journey alongside his former teammate, producing 11 assists for the Oakland Bears 18U AA in 30 appearances last season.

“Noah will be a solid addition to our backend,” said Tse. “Bringing both size and poise, he moves pucks quickly and makes smart, efficient decisions under pressure.”

Arruda and Leriger join Charlie Scott, Stone Baulch and David Gifford as announced signings for the 2025-26 season. Stay tuned for more roster transactions as the offseason progresses.

The Oilers open up the season at home against the Austin Ice Bats on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. The weekend continues from the WeStreet Ice Center on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
