OILERS LAND ROOKIE FORWARD MORGAN BARCLIFT
Forward Morgan Barclift begins his junior career with the Tulsa Oilers.
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers Junior Hockey Club, proud member of the North American 3 Hockey League and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Thursday the signing of forward Morgan Barclift for the 2025-26 season.
Barclift, 18, begins his junior career after spending last season with the Oakland Bears 18U AA program.
“Morgan brings a relentless motor and puck-hungry mentality,” Head Coach Chi-Yin Tse said. “He’s the type of player who never stops working—exactly the kind of energy we need on the ice. His tenacity and style of play mesh well with the group we already have in place. While his connection to the California group will help ease the transition, we expect Morgan to make an immediate impact both in the locker room and on the ice.”
In 30 games with the Bears, the Stockton, California native logged six goals and three assists.
The 5-foot-9 forward is the fifth Oiler to have been prepped by the Oakland Bears organization, and is the fourth in the rookie class. He will reunite with his former teammates Charlie Scott, Montana Medina, Noah Leriger and Johnny Arruda.
The Oilers continue their homestand on Friday, Sept. 19, against the New Mexico Ice Wolves at 7:15 p.m. The weekend continues from the WeStreet Ice Center on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
