OILERS RE-SIGN EVAN SCHOLL, BOLSTERING BLUE LINE
Defenseman Evan Scholl returns to Tulsa Oilers for the 2025-26 season
TULSA, Okla. – The Tulsa Oilers Junior Hockey Club, proud member of the North American 3 Hockey League and partner of the Marriott Tulsa Southern Hills and Ruffin Event Center, announced Thursday the re-signing of defenseman Evan Scholl for the 2025-26 season.
Scholl, 18, started last season with the New Mexico Ice Wolves before being dealt to Tulsa in a deadline move. In 26 games with the Ice Wolves, the 6-foot-5 defenseman recorded five goals and two assists, adding one goal and three assists to his season total in six games with the Oilers.
“We’re very excited to have Evan back for the upcoming season,” Head Coach Chi-Yin Tse said. “He brings size and physicality, setting the tone in competitive situations. He had a strong showing at NAHL camp, and we’re pleased with the strides he’s made this offseason. His versatility across all positions and poise with the puck make him a valuable asset to our lineup.”
Prior to beginning his junior career, the Marysville, Washington native appeared in 27 games with the Seattle Jr. Kraken 18U AAA, registering seven goals and five assists.
Scholl joins Henry Pinkerman, Kurtis Brachlow, Cassius Hook, Johnny Arruda, Noah Leriger, Charlie Scott, Stone Baulch and David Gifford as announced signings for the 2025-26 season. Stay tuned for more roster transactions as the offseason progresses.
The Oilers open up the season at home against the Austin Ice Bats on Friday, Sept. 12 at 7 p.m. The weekend continues from the WeStreet Ice Center on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and Sunday at 4 p.m.
